Kitchen & living Room
Thanks to a large number of windows and the high ceiling (4.10m), this space is flooded with light. The kitchen, with a lovely view of the bulb fields, is fitted with all modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, a Nespresso machine and a combination oven. In the winter you sit comfortably around our Norwegian wood stove while you can enjoy the sun on our spacious concrete window seat in early spring.
For a morning coffee or a good glass of wine the concrete bench with soft cushions on the West side of the garden is the ideal place to catch the sun. The sliding window disappears completely into the facade.
Wi-Fi is available in the entire house. In addition, you will find a bluetooth “jambox” speaker in the living room to play your favorite music.
The garden
The enclosed garden (280m²) opens up to the bulb fields on the north side and is surrounded by old trees, beech hedges and sheep fences made of chestnut wood. Giving the garden privacy and a natural buffer against the wind. The garden offers multiple seating areas, in both sun and shade. The big lawn around the house offers plenty of space to relax, sunbathe or play ball. During lunch time, sit in the shade under the big porch at the dining table or under a tree in the grass.
A BBQ awaits your endless dinners with friends and family under the shade of the porch. An ideal place for al-fresco dining, reading or relaxing.
There is a children’s play area with horizontal bars and lots of climbing activities as well as a field where families can enjoy playing table tennis and jeu de boules. There is a large football field at the front of the park.
Gerard is an outdoor fireplace, pizza oven, and barbecue in one. Cooking outside is a real joy. A pizza often tastes better when baked in a coal or wood-fired oven. With pizza oven Gerard you undoubtedly make the most delicious dishes.
Don’t feel like doing culinary but do you want to enjoy an outdoor fire? Then this is of course also possible!
About the designer
The hand of the Dutch Interior Architect Wanda de Jong is clearly evident from the minimalist décor and neutral colours; a stylish interior that promotes a sense of calm and serenity. Nordic inspired colors and design and crisp white linens. Plenty of large windows with views of the garden and the bulb fields. With concrete floors and luxurious bathroom. The living opens to the porch and garden. The woodstove in the middle of the living room, flooded in light, sits beside our delightful concrete bench that goes from outside to inside to give the house a unique design look.
Bedrooms: Wake up rested
The house has 3 bedrooms. A master bedroom with a queen size bed (160x200cm) where you can sleep on a highly comfortable box spring. The 2nd bedroom has a custom made bunk bed (80x200cm) and is the ideal place for children. The 3rd bedroom also accommodates two people where you sleep on a luxury box spring (140x200cm).
The bathroom is equipped with every luxury. A spacious walk-in shower with handmade Portuguese tiles. The toilet is separate and is located opposite the bedrooms.
All rooms have plenty of storage space in the custom-made cupboards.
